This is the official notice that Tacoma Education Association (TEA) will run nominations and elections for the positions listed below.

• 36 - TEA Delegates to the WEA Representative Assembly (April 11-13, 2024 in Spokane, Washington)

• 15 - TEA Delegates to the NEA Representative Assembly (July 3-7, 2024 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

• TEA President

• TEA Vice President

• TEA zone representatives for:  Stadium, Lincoln, Office Professional

NOMINATIONS

All nominations must be made by TEA members in good standing. A nominee needs to consent to their nomination and be a member in good standing to be eligible for any position.

Representative Assembly self nominations open 01/02/2024 at 5:00 p.m. (PT) and close 01/16/2024 at 5:00 p.m. (PT). All nominations must be submitted using the nomination form that will be emailed to you. Please returned all nomination forms to the TEA elections team at elections@tacoma-ea.org.

TEA Officer election self nominations open 02/13/2024 at 5:00 p.m. (PT) and close 03/12/2024 at 6:00 p.m. (PT). All nominations must be submitted using the nomination form that will be emailed to you. Please returned all nomination forms to the TEA elections team at elections@tacoma-ea.org.

ELECTION

The election of TEA delegates shall be by secret-ballot vote. Only eligible TEA members may vote.

The election for representative assembly positions will be held electronically beginning 01/17/2023 at 5:00 p.m. (PT) and ending 01/24/2023 at 5:00 p.m. (PT).

The election for TEA officer positions will be held electronically beginning 03/15/2024 at 5:00 p.m. (PT) and ending 03/22/2024 at 5:00 p.m. (PT)

All voting requires you having access to your home email address of record with TEA.
